Week 6

Food

I kept my breakfast and snacks going strong this week. I didn't go to the store until Monday, so my lunch and dinner for Monday were different. We all ended up going to lunch at Hooter's that day. I had the grilled chicken salad and had a very hard time refraining from eating one of the wings, but emerged victorious. That night I had nothing to make, so I went to Subway and had a 6-inch oven roasted chicken breast on wheat with onions, green peppers, jalapenos, salt & pepper, and oil with Sun Chips. That night I prepared some tuna with boiled egg-whites, onions, and nonfat mayonnaise to take for lunch, but forgot it the next day. So I ended up going to Arby's with the guys and getting my new usual: the chicken club with no dressing and Sun Chips. The rest of the week my lunches were tuna on wheat with Sun Chips, except for Thursday. We went to Ali Baba Mediterranean that day and I had the gyro with kettle cooked cracked pepper chips.

Dinners for the rest of the week included a New York strip, a T-Bone, and boneless chicken breasts. I found a dry rub seasoning to try out. I used a Hickory one on the steaks and a Cajun one on the chicken. Friday night my friend convinced me to come over to his place to try his hamburgers. I also ate a chili cheese dog while I was there, but they did make a salad for me so that at least my side was healthy.

My cheat meal was on Saturday. I went to Agave with my friend. I ordered the pollo al queso and had plenty of chips, salsa, and queso.

Exercise

This week's exercises were the same as the previous week's. Tuesday and Thursday I did my walking through the neighborhood alone. I tried to keep my pace up and was able to run the last stretch both days (about 2 and a half minutes total). That little run at the end is extremely tiring.

The weights on the other days remained the same, except my roommate had stuff going on on Friday so I got a three day weekend from the exercises. I still did full sit-ups. It feels like I am getting better at this stuff but my heart is still pounding at every break and after the workout.

My stretches were the same as the previous week's. They are still very painful and it doesn't seem like that is ever going to change.

Weight

My weight on Sunday, April 25th at 8 AM was down to 362.2 lbs. It's less than a 2 lb loss, but still better than I expected after the cheat meal the day before and the hamburger and chili cheese dog the night before that.
